Presentation of “Untitled” in Dublin
On September 19–21, Sasha Kurmaz’s performance Untitled will conclude the programme of the Dublin Fringe Festival. These presentations are part of the Performing Memory project supported by Perform Europe, within which we are rethinking models of international presentation of performative works.
Each September, Dublin hosts the international theatre festival – Dublin Fringe Festival. It focuses on experimental productions and new works by Irish and international artists. The festival invites directors and performers who challenge their own practice and expand ideas of what art can be. Untitled will be shown six times in central Dublin:
- September 19 at 14:00 and 16:00. Location: Fairview Park – Old Bandstand
- September 20–21 at 13:00 and 13:45. Location: Wood Quay Amphitheatre
Sasha Kurmaz worked remotely with Irish choreographer Simone O’Toole. Sasha developed instructions on how to perform the piece, and Simone, together with the performers, interpreted and adapted the work to the local context. In Dublin, it will be performed by 20 local dancers and several Ukrainians living in the city. Untitled explores the movement of the body as a gesture of memory. The performance was created within the Antonin Artaud Fellowship in 2024.
