Anna Shevchenko has been engaged in artistic practice since 2015. Her work encompasses performance, installations, and projects that explore themes of identity, duality, and human interaction with the world. She utilizes documentary photography and video art to investigate urban space and experiment with the perception of reality. Her self-directed learning has expanded into theatrical practices, where she studies acting and performance-sound techniques.

This two-day performance invites people to unite in a shared space where dialogue is possible through the exchange and interaction with handwritten texts. The event is dedicated to the theme of freedom of expression, its transformation, and fluidity.

  • What is the space between people?
  • The physical plane of a house, street, city, country, world?
  • Chats on social networks?
  • Gazes, touches, words?
  • Inner and outer worlds?
  • Can we express ourselves freely today?
  • Can we express ourselves freely at home today?
  • Can we express ourselves freely in public spaces?
  • How do we express ourselves when we cannot do so honestly?
  • What happens to what is not expressed?

The presentation took place on March 2nd and 3rd, 2024, at the space pole 0.36, Kyiv.

The work was implemented proto produkciia in partnership with the GT Foundation from Romania with financial support from Culture of Solidarity Fund funded by the European Cultural Foundation.
